A flame of jealousy, anger or desire

A flame put out before it ever has the chance to really catch alight and burn with brightness

Are you open to the wonder trapped in every moment

Do you seek a key to unlock what can’t be seen

Is it safer to stay smothered in the past

The preconceived ideas and notions downloaded via usb into our drive of convenience and virtual security

I often wonder if others can see what I see

If I can see what others can see

If we even have access to the same possibility

Are your trees the same green as mine

Does fresh coffee smell the same

And Slipknot make you angry

Can you feel my expression

Do my words enter at all

Are you open to new creation

Do you feel safe on your side of the wall

Perhaps if we were to look for sparks

Build a space for them to thrive

Encourage them to catch alight

Fan them so they can really burn

Add fuel from far and wide

So we can burn this old paradigm

This outdated shell from within

Then move outside and start anew
